I really wanted to love this recipe but mine didn't turn out well at all. I'm sure it was probably my fault as this is only my second time using yeast, but I wasn't happy about it. First of all, when I was baking the buns, they didn't rise at all. And without the icing, they weren't sweet at all despite the sugar that goes into it. I think I will try them again making the whole recipe.

These are my new favorite cinnamon buns/rolls. They freeze great! All you have to do is set them out the night before to thaw and rise and then bake. They are also great warmed up the next day. That is, if there are any left. I tried lots of recipes to find one that tastes great, can freeze well and be like fresh baked when warmed up the next day and these are it. I also used my bread machine following directions with the all wet ingredients in bottom and dry to cover with well for yeast and select dough setting. Worked great! I've made these several times now, both fresh and frozen. You can't tell the difference. I do use my own icing recipe though. Enjoy!

This was my first attempt at cinnamon buns - loved them!
I did use less butter for the filling & for the icing, just personal preference...

Made these Cinnamon Buns this morning, recipe was easy to follow and I made them almost exactly except I added some crushed walnuts to the filling and I only made half of the icing which was plenty for 8 buns. They were a big hit! Excellent flavor. thank you FNM

Made these with about half the butter and they still turned out fluffy and flaky. We made the dough the night before and they turned out delicious. They even travel well. Will make again!!!

I tried this recipe twice so far. The first time, I allowed the buns to rest for an hour or so before popping them into the oven. After they cooled down, and I tasted them, I was in heaven.
The second time I prepared a batch for my son, but since he didn't show up that day, I had placed the buns in the fridge and baked them the next day for him. The taste was still the same, but the buns were a bit denser compared to the really light and flaky ones baked the same day.
Either way, they were mouth watering and I loved them. Thanks to all of the people at Foodnetwork who created this recipe.

These were wonderful! Tasted almost exactly like Cinabon Cinnamon Buns! I made them for Easter Brunch and were a big hit! They were really easy to make too! I did change one thing though- I hate nutmeg so I used cinnamon in its place. Other than that- everything was the same- really true to the recipe which is not always the case. Thank you Food-Network!!

The only thing to say is that these cinnamon buns were DELICIOUS! All of my friends loved them and they are great during the kids sleepover parties. I also have had past troubles with yeast but this recipe works great!
