I was so excited to try this recipe and I even got my husband and kids all excited, but we were let down by the flavor of the rolls. The texture is wonderful, light and fluffy. But all we can taste is the yeast!! My 5 year old son took one bite and spit it out. Why is there such a strong yeast flavor?? Is there a specific one that I should use that won't leave that taste? Or do I need to add a really thick layer of the sugar mixture to hide the yeast flavor?? Any suggestions are welcome...I would love to try this recipe again!! Thanks

I have been making cinnamon rolls for years, and these are a fabulous Easy recipe, I cheated and put all ingredients in my breadmaker on the dough setting and the dough was very soft, just added a little flour to knead with and PERFECTION great job with this one

This is the greatest recipe ever!!! I accidently left out the salt...no big deal! Finally a recipe using yeast that I have conquered! I want to make breads and sticky buns every weekend. At least we now have a Christmas tradition...I decided at my sons request to leave Santa a sticky bun but all of the recipes seemed so time consuming. This one seemed simple and the reviews were fab so I tried it----and oh my these are delicious!! I used a basic cream cheese frosting and next time I will mix the butter, sugar and cinnamon "filling" because I cheated us out of 4 Tbsp of butter---as if we need it! They turned out as oooeeyy and gooey as I imagined and they warm up great! Thanks FN for your super delish recipe and our new Tradition!

I made these as soon as I got my magazine, and oh boy, I thought I was in heaven!! These are the BEST cinnamon rolls I have ever had/made. My husband particularly like the frosting. He said it wasn't gritty like some can be, but smooth, and just enough sweet. I will for sure be making these for holiday parties for years to come!

The cinnamon rolls were soft and yummy, just like in the stores. Next time I think I will cut the cinanamon down to 2 or 2.5 tablespoons for the filling, but otherwise they were great. I also cut the rolls into 8 instead of 6 buns and cooked them for a shorter period.
The recipe was easy, and I was delighted by the texture of these rolls, as I have been somewhat yeast-using-challenged during my baking career!

I made these using the dough setting on my bread machine. I had to use the extra 2T of flour. The dough was absolutely perfect, easy to roll out, and baked up light and flavorful.
I didn't have cream so I made a cream cheese frosting with fresh grated orange peel and juice, along with a dash of almond extract.
This is a keeper...I'll pass it off as MY secret recipe.

I don't know why, but I just finished making these cinnabons after 11:00pm on the same day I received my FoodNetWork Mag in the mail. Must have had a craving! They are much better than my previous cinnabon experiments, which I had thought were pretty good until now.
I followed the recipe exactly except that I used buttermilk instead of whole milk. (it was all I had on hand They are AMAZING. I will probably sit up and eat them all night! (and I just hit my goal weight last month!
These are actually better than the real Cinnabons.. they seem lighter/airier somehow.
