I love this recipe! It is now my go to chocolate cake/cupcake recipe. So moist and chocolatey! I pair it with a chocolate swiss meringue buttercream and it is so delicious!

This was so disappointing! It was a very time consuming high maintenance recipe for an unsatisfactory yield! The cake was too dry and not sweet at all, the filling also unsweet and too bitter. Definitely not an "almost famous" recipe. Final product is not worth the effort by any means.

Delicious! I made this recipe for my family and they aren't big chocolate fans, but they loved it! I made this on a weekday and it was a nice thing to brighten your week!

Finally a recipe for lava cake that i dont have to think about the undercooked batter and thus raw egg/salmonella issue. It's a bit more work than others but the peace of mind that this is safe is more important! Besides- the suplus freezes well for a later date for a hassle free dessert to WOW impromptu guest.

I made this for my husband for Valentines day. It was wonderful. I the centers fell in with the ramekins but I just scooped it out and stuffed it back in with the filling. Next time I will bake them an extra five minutes. I do like that I can refrigerate the remaining cakes and successfully reheat them later. They were delicious and my husband commented he preferred them to the ones at Chilli's.

This recipe is for the busy cook whom likes to prepare ahead of time. I can make these cakes, place in the fridge until needed, and heat in the oven or microwave later. It's just like they are fresh baked. I don't have to bake 6 or 8 cakes and serve IMMEDIATELY. There's only two of us, so I can store the unassembled cakes for later. Regular lava cake recipes DO NOT reheat well.

MUCH TOO TIME CONSUMING. Try Paula Deen's MOLTEN LAVA CAKE. It's, easy, fast and always fabulous! Besides, who ever heard of having to scoop out the inside of a cake, and then pour in the chocolate molten filling?
