This is delicious and pretty simple to put together. I multiplied the recipe by 6 for a big BBQ and it was a hit! I replaced the chopped tomato with diced red pepper, left out the parsley, and completely forgot to soak the red onion. At first taste I was afraid it was a bit too spicy, (most likely from me forgetting to soak the red onion but by the next day, the flavors had all melded together perfectly. I can't wait to make and eat this again!

Sounds alot like a salad I used to make years ago - the only difference is I cubed up cheddar cheese and added that also and that was back before sour cream was considered a good add in. I think I'll make it for the 4th!

as far as pasta salad recipes go, this was very good. i used rotini which held the veggies well. i ommitted the sour cream and used a few kitchen teaspoons of grey poupon instead of the dry mustard. for veggies i added chives, green/yellow and red pepper minced and the celery. i did not put tomatoes. i made it the night before and found that it had enough dressing and was not dry. it kept for a few days and everyone liked it. it was pretty with all the colors!

A quick easy salad and made with ingredients I'm likely to have on hand so its convenient too. I agree with some reviewers that it needed more dressing, but I do like it "saucy". Maybe adding most of the dressing when made but saving a bit on the side after salad has been sitting would be helpful. And the tomatoes were a good addition. I used grape tomatoes cut in half.

I don't normally like macaroni salad, but I thought I would try this out. It's a nice, light summery salad, even without the onions. I would make this again. Easy to make, and very yummy!

Wow, this was really good. Easy to make and light on the mayo. I left off the tomato and added carrots. This is definitely a do over.

Made this for Father's Day. Big hit! Doubled recipe so others could take some home with them. Perfect amount of dressing. Made it the night before but added tomatoes just before serving. Good idea to soak onions for a while. For sure will make this again. Thank you

Not a huge fan. I think the recipe called for too much onion. Just me personal preference.

When this recipe arrived in my email box I almost passed it by. I'm not much of a noodle salad kinda person. I happened to need a side for a lunch gathering and I did have all the ingredients. I have changed my mind about pasta salad. It is the perfect blank canvas dish. I was envisioning many other uses, using this recipe as the base.

This recipe was wonderful! There's a lot of room to add or remove ingredients based on preference. It was extremely simple to make, and tasted great! My one recommendation would be to triple the sauce recipe because it wasn't nearly enough. I had doubled the entire recipe and it came out moist initially, but as soon as I stuck it in the fridge the sauce slowly disapearred! I plan to make extre sauce today though! :- I've never made a pasta salad before, and this recipe came out fabulous. I just added some chopped deli ham like someone had suggested, and it added great texture and flavor. I'll definitely do this again! :-D
