I followed the recipe to the last detail and cooked the sauce so long it reduced to almost nothing but never thickened. So I added a splash more of Apple juice and maybe 2 tablespoons of cornstarch (mixed with cold water first, cooked it for a few minutes longer and it was perfect. It glazed the chicken nicely and it was all gone before I knew it!

This was the most disgusting thing I have ever tasted, even with the brown sugar.

Definitely one of the easiest recipes to follow. And sooooo tasty!

I made these also, the sauce was very flavorful but you could have boiled the sauce from now until doomsday and it would not have thickened or coated the back of a spoon. We enjoyed them and the sauce was very flavorful, but I will not be making them again.

I haven't tried it yet, but it's on the menu. To thicken any sauce, you want to cook it at a higher heat until it's at a boil almost. The flavor will concentrate and you'll get a thicker sauce. Just make sure to keep an eye on it and stir it that it doesn't burn.Hope that helps!

Excellent! My husband used chicken thighs instead of drumsticks. They were delicious. I usually only like white meat. The skin was crispy, and the flavor of the sauce won me over. They were even better the next day. These will definitely be made again!

The flavor of the sauce is great, but I couldn't get it to thicken. It would have been way better if I could get it thickened, but c'est la vie. I'm not sure if my heat wasn't high enough or if it was too high. Whatever the case may be, I will definitely try this again and I am not deterred by the fact I didn't get the sauce right.

Ok, first of all I rate this a 3 not a 5, but not a 1 either! This is VERY easy to make I agree.BUT is very unflavorful for all the ingredients that are in it. I added Brown Sugar like the other reviewers recommended. It DID help!! However, If you are assuming this recipe will blow you out of the water, it won't. It really wasnt worth it! I also had trouble with the thickening and had to add cornstarch. Pass this recipe up and put your efforts in a different dish.
