Absolutely love it. Everyone loves it. Requested for every occasion and sometimes just because. I add extra avocado; for quick mix n go use grahham cracker premaid crusts and if going to a potluck put whipped cream all the way across top to stop browning.

Crazy Good!!! This hasn't even made it to the table yet as it has to go in the fridge for 4-hours, but just licking the beaters/bowl it is so tasty! I bet it'll get rave reviews tomorrow. I wish I had more in the bowl to taste right now : I did what another reviewer suggested and tasted before putting in the crust and added more lime juice. I also threw in some lemon and lime zest. Now I'm trying to figure out what to "call" this as I know people will think Avocado Pie is too strange and won't want to try it. What ever I call it, it's easy and delicious!

very easy recipe to make and is a huge hit. As was mentioned in other reviews, the avocado taste is hidden in the background by the other flavors. If you want a more pronounced avocado taste, add one or two more avocados. Recipe still comes out great! Whenever we make this, at least two people leave with the recipe. Great mixture to place in individual tart shells for catering as well, with a slice of fresh avocado on top, or a slice of deep fried / avocado tempura.

This was super easy to make. I substituted a store-bought shortbread crust (I don't like graham cracker crust and fat-free sweetened condensed milk and it was great. Took it to an office potluck and everyone loved it! The avocado taste is definitely there, very mellow and cool. It's like a creamy key lime pie. Next time I think I'll try an oreo crust - should be interesting.

I made this for a friends birthday and everybody LOVED it, nobody could taste the avocado! However, I tasted the mixture before putting it in the crust and had to add almost double the lemon juice and triple the lime juice. Make sure you taste the mixture before you put it in the fridge to set so that you are happy with how it tastes!

I love the way this dish looks and tastes! I am a big fan of graham cracker pie crust, so it was a great way to start the recipe. And while the avocados lose the distinct avocado taste (which for this recipe is a good thing, the retain the brilliant green color which makes the pie so enchanting. The only thing, as noted in the recipe, the part that is exposed to air starts to brown, so it doesn't look as vibrant. It still tastes great, though, so be not afraid!

Living in southern California and having an abundance of avocados I decided to make this recipe with a few changes. I substituted canola oil for butter and left out the sugar in the crust, added 4 ounces of light cream cheese and 4 ounces of yogurt cheese (made by straining plain lowfat yogurt through a coffee filter, and increased the juices to 3 T lime juice and 2 1/2 T lemon juice. I also used fat free condensed milk. This made a delicious pie. Next time I make it, I will just use yogurt cheese not cream cheese. It was delicious!

I made this Pie for my Grandkids who love Avocado and Lime. I did use a store bought shortbread cookie crust, and added some Meyer Lemon juice and more Lime juice to taste. If you know how to cook, then you should know to taste and add more to your liking. Everyone loved this Pie, it is creamy, and the Avocado taste is not over powering. I will make this again. If you like Avocado and Lime, Please try the Pie, just add more Citrus.

I enjoyed this creamy dessert immensely. Served it to our friends and their four kids.. they all loved it! (they called it Oobleck pie, like the Dr. Seuss story. I put limes and whip cream on top, so I played up the lime factor more then the avocado factor. It was smooth and just the right amout of sweet without an overpowering tart factor. Great balance and a good conversation piece.

I have to agree with Jaclyn. I was really excited to try this recipe and while it's not gross or inedible at all.... I'd never serve it to a guest. It just tastes like creamy sugar. I do have to say it was very easy to make and had a great texture and color, but that's where the compliments end...

I'll stick with key lime for my pie and save the avocados for guacamole :
