Excellent green bean recipe. Love the onions and bacon.

This recipe has given me a real taste for green beans. Everyone in my family loves them. Bravo!

Most excellent! We subbed crisp cooked tempeh bacon and crumbled it into the onion and garlic mixture. We paired this with a mushroom-seitan lasagne and rosemary Italian filone bread. Most excellent! Thanks Emeril!

Great. I love the flavors and steaming the beans in the chicken stock.

I have made this same recipe for years, but didn't use the olive oil. I do think I will try it next time as the bacon will crisp up real fast sealing in the flavor. banne

Delicious!! However, I did not add in the Olive Oil... I let the bacon cook in its own fat.

I wasn't wild about the taste. My daughter in law loved them. The rest of the family was too busy eating turkey, potatoes, stuffing and gravy to mention anything about the beans.

Lawd have mercy! Those are some good green beans. Wow. I just cooked this dish and these are the best string beans I've ever had. Who knew?! BAM! Thanks Emeril :D

Loved this recipe! I usually omit the olive oil as the bacon gives off enough grease, you don't really need the extra oil. I also drain a bit of the grease before serving. But it's got an amazing smoky flavor. Non-veggie eating husband devoured the entire dish.
