Halved the recipe and still had plenty left over with four people. Very tasty, but needed a bit more salt. Ritz crackers were a nice topping. Will make again.

This makes a lot of Mac & Cheese - found it to be a little on the boring side as far as taste. Will try adding more seasonings and salt. Might try different cheeses next time.

Very creamy and a nice contrast with the crispy Ritz topping. Next time I would add a little more of the seasonings and some salt (I added none besides the pasta cooking water in fear of all that cheese making the recipe too salty, but no fear necessary. The recipe halves easily, and I would recommend a cookie sheet underneath in case it bubbles over, also.

Fabulous mac & cheese! My family loved it! The ritz crackers on the top really gave the dish something special.

This mac and cheese was pretty easy to make.. but the taste was just blah. I didn't season it too much, thinking that all of the cheese would give it some salty flavor, but it didn't. Ritz topping was good. Hopefully the colossal amount of leftovers will taste a little better.

The consistancy of this mac and cheese is really good. The havarti, although a bit pricey, makes for a very creamy sauce. I thought it would be a bit spicier with the hot sauce and cayenne, but I didn't really taste them too much. Next time I might add more. I would make this again with a couple of changes. Next time, only half the ritz topping.

Excellent macaroni and cheese! I made it today along with the slow cooker pulled pork from the same Food Network Magazine issue. Great flavor and super creamy. The only downside was that it bubbled over the top while cooking and dripped all over the inside of the oven. Make sure you put a cookie sheet under the dish while baking!
