Delicious - the sauce is great and the dish is not too rich, as some baked pasta dishes can be; definitely a dish to make again.

This is one of my go-to dishes...it is so easy to make and super yummy! My husbank loves it and whats great about it, is the left overs taste equally as good the next day! I do cheat a little and use can tomato sauce... but it comes out just as good with a little less prep time!

My receipe is very similar, but I like to spice it up a little. So, I add spicy Itailian sausage. Then when my pan of ziti is half full, I put a generous layer of shredded pepperjack cheese. Afterwards, I finish filling the dish.

Flavor was very good, the amount it yielded was perfect for a family of 5 and lastly it was very simple to make.

I should add that I doubled the recipe for the sauce because my family likes a baked ziti that has more sauce in it than what this recipe called for. Tastes great!

Our family of four (incl 10 & 7 year old girls loved this. I used the recipe as a base and tweaked it a bit: I used store-bought sauce (with cabernet wine! and added butcher-store-made Italian sausage (sauted without the casings, chopped green peppers, yellow zuchinni and a small onion. I may opt to add some pancetta next time, though the dish was saltier than I prefer. If I do store-bought sauce again, I'll also check for low sodium choices. All said, this is a winner recipe!!!!

I love making this, it is so simple, so cheap, a lot faster than making spaghetti and, in my opinion, a lot better than spaghetti! The only thing I do different is make the tomato sauce like I do for my spaghetti (minus the ground beef because I like the spices better than marinara, and I use an entire package of mozzarella cheese. I let everyone use the Parmesan if they wish, but I like it better without, we also like to put a little more crushed red pepper in it. This is a huge hit with my family & it is even good as leftovers the next day, this makes quite a big serving and we have never been able to eat it all at once. I highly recommend making this a regular weekly dinner!
