This was yummy! DEFINITELY USE ALL OF THE TOMATO SAUCE that u make, as many of the other users have pointed out, or urs may come out dry and/or bland. And don't be afraid to use a little more parmesan on top ! Other than that, super easy. Wud def. use if cooking for a large group!

Okay folks, PLEASE...do you have ANY IDEA how easy it is to make your own sauce?!?!?! Don't buy that canned sauce EVER again!! EVER!!!!!! You're KILLIN me over here! I MEAN IT! DO THIS:

    2 cans tomato sauce
    2 cans diced tomatoes
3 cloves of garlic - minced or use a garlic press
    1/3 - 1/2 c onion - diced
    2 1/2 tablespoons dried basil
    2 teaspoons dried oregano
    1/3 c red wine
1/4 c extra virgin olive oil
    Salt
    Pepper

Feel free to add Italian sausage, mushrooms and/or olives to this as well. Just let it simmer mildly over med-low heat and it'll reduce and get really rich and deep red. SERIOUSLY! I love you...I can't stand it when I see someone say they added a jar of tomato sauce to something. MAKE YOUR OWN! I love you too much for you to use that stuff! I MEAN IT! :o Hope you love it! Love, Carmen

Made this for my husband and he absolutely loved it! The only problem was it did not make enough sauce for my liking. Had to add a small can of Prego to the pot. Still delish! Will definitely make again!

WOW!!! I made a double batch of this for 45 youth who'd been participating in a 30 Hour Famine. OMG!!!! What a hit! I love this simple tomato sauce, especially with the italian sausage vs. ground beef. This is a definite do again.

This is a very good recipe, and is quite easy to make. My teenage daughter has friends who always ask if they can eat over when they find out I am making this dish!

This Baked Ziti was so easy to make and awesome! I used the sweet italian sausage and then two days later I was asked to make it again, but I couldn't find sweet italian sausage so I used italian sausage and added a teaspoon of sugar. Again it came out excellent.

    Thank you & Aloha!!!!!
