This is my new favorite banana bread recipe! Excellent! Love the crispy crusty exterior and wonderful buttery flavor. So moist and holds together well! A real winner!

Mine is in the oven right now so i decided to read some reviews when i saw dinamcw review and got so confused for a second and had to go back to the recipe.

"dinamcw" recipe calls for 1/2 cup of butter which equals 8 TABLESPOONS every single butter stick out in the market in the United States that I know of has 8 Tablespoons which is 1/2 cups per stick.

    ps: its smelling delishhh already!

For the reviewer who said this recipe called for 2 sticks of butter... it calls for ONE stick!! I just made this one using half white flour and half white whole wheat flour... it's perfect!!

This is my first time I've rated a recipe. Love food network and its recipes. This banana recipe was really really good. I was was picking away and by the time I was on my second (or maybe third slice when I realized that I had probably just eaten close to a STICK of butter. The recipe calls for TWO sticks for one loaf. I am not a health fanatic and want it to taste good, but that was just too much!

This was the best banana nut bread recipe ever! I was low on white sugar so I did 1/2 a cup white and half brown sugar and it still turned out great! Whew!
