I made this for a family dinner party on a snowy winter night- it was so easy and had big hearty flavor. I served it in individual sourdough bread bowls purchased from my local bakery. I will never use that packaged seasoning again, EVER.

This is a wonderful classic recipe. The chuck melts in your mouth and the flavors blend fantastically.

I followed the recipe mostly, however, I coated the meat with flour after seasoning and seared in olive oil. Then I drained the tiny bit of excess oil there was and cooked the onions and garlic in butter to pull up the bits on the pan. Wiping the pan out is a waste of great flavor!

I have made this beef stew more than once, each time it comes out great. All of my family and friends love the stew when I cook it.

Did everything to a "T", except I had to add just a little red wine with the stock etc.Oh and a dash of Tabasco too, at the end, not too much, just a snippet. Super easy and very tasty! So simple, I won't need the recipe again. Again, thanks guys.
