This was probably the WORST recipe i've ever tried from Food Network. I followed the recipe to a T! The muffins fell apart as soon as you took them out of the oven making it a crumbly mess! The muffins had an awful taste- very "flour"y. Don't waste your time...move on to other recipes!! TRUST ME!!!

This was the first time I made any type muffins and this recipe was really simple! And although I am new to baking, I may have missed a simple step in this recipe. Didn't it call for a 1/2 cup of milk? When do you add the milk? No where in the recipe does it say add milk here and mix...

I made a few modifications....I used 1 cup of 2% buttermilk and a quater cup of unsweetened applesauce. In the dry mix I added a dash or two of cinnamon, used 1 cup of whole wheat flour and 1 cup of all purpose (instad of 2 cups all purpose and just before transferring to the oven, I topped the muffins with a brown sugar and cinnamon mix. Hearty, fresh and yummy!

I made this recipe for family and friends over the weekend - by hand & with frozen blueberries. I halfed the recipe and baked the batter in an 8x8 pan. I followed the suggestions of adding additional sugar (1/2 c if halfing the recipe, increased the blueberries to a cup and added vanilla. I also added a couple shakes of ground cinnamon to the dry mix - this kicked up the flavor nicely - not at all overpowering. Everyone loved the result! I would make this recipe again.

Overall easy and nice recipe. I did add extra sugar, as was recommended by another reviewer, and I think next time, I'll add the extract.

This is a great basis for a recipe. I leave out the lemon and add some nutmeg and they are great.

This was an easy, basic muffin. Maybe add more blueberries or sugar, might make it a bit better. Worth trying.

I loved these muffins, they were really great, I only changed 3 things about them. 1: I didn't add the lemon zest 2: Instead of 1/2 a cup of milk I used a whole cup 3: I added a little bit of nutmeg which added more taste; These muffins are so great to make because they are so easy to prepare and they cook really fast.
