    Not sure why there are poor reviews here... It takes some time to make these but they are soo worth it. These were the most airy waffles I've ever tasted. And the brown butter gave them a delicious nutty flavor that was super tasty. I went the extra step to make a raspberry compote instead of the orange they suggested and it paired beautifully.

    Had absolutely no taste. Didn't like the fact that I had to make part of it the night before and the rest the next morning....Plans changed quick for Xmas morning breakfast!!! Brown the butter the next morning, also. Waffles shouldn't be this much work!!!!

    The texture of these waffles was absolutely lovely- light, airy & crispy. The brown butter added a nice touch but overall they lacked flavor. They definitely needed more salt (I added about 1/2 tsp more and a tsp of vanilla. Also, the first few batches were much airier than the last few batches, as the baking soda lost its oomph. I'm not quite experienced enough in baking to know how to remedy that problem... using baking powder for its double acting quality? Although I wouldn't know how to adjust the recipe accordingly...

    These are the very best home-made waffles I have ever had. They are extremely light, flavorful, and hold up well after freezing and reheating in the microwave or oven.

    Be sure to use a very large bowl when leaving the batter out overnight as the batter will expand and be all over your countertop, as it was mine! lol (As directed, don't add eggs or soda until morning.}
