I made a cookie tray for a holiday party and these were the first to go. I used rasberry (Bonne Maman jam. Will make these again for sure. this recipe is a keeper.

Followed the directions exactly, but the cookies did not rise at all and were very crispy. The cooking time would have scorched them if I hadn't kept an eye out. Perhaps cold butter would have helped them hold together better?

The cookie dough was very gooey to handle, and cookies were spread too much after baking. I am going back to Barefoot Contessa's recipe, which is great.

These are the most delicious cookies I have ever made. Buttery, flaky, soft cookie with raspberry jam is perfect. So easy to make, they come out perfect!

Just made these for the first time and they came out perfectly! And delicious! After reading other reviews (about spreading, running and brittleness I followed these steps and they were perfect. Don't over beat the butter and sugar, 5 minutes is way too much time! Compress dough and roll in hands to get a firm ball. I used the top of a small bottle of almond extract (about 1/4 inch in diameter to make jam hole and only indented about 3/8 inch to keep at least 1/2 below jam. I used no more than 1/2 tsp of preserve for each, just enough to be level with the cookie top. They are fabulous!

Very good cookies! I should have used larger scoops of batter because they were too small- people wanted bigger ones! I used all natural raspberry preserves and they were great- the jam did leak out, though, and it was messy. The cookies were moist and tasty.

I tried this recipe for the first time a few days ago and it was wonderful. It was so good that my daughter asked if we could leave these cookies out for Santa instead of our usual cookies.

    Great recipe!!!

These have to be the best "non-chocolate" cookies I've ever made. A great combo of buttery sugar cookie and fruit. My husband loved them and I'm making them again tomorrow. Definately a keeper!

I am always in search for a new cookie recipe, when I saw this it sounded easy to make. These were absolutely delicious. I used black raspberry preserves for my filling. Scrumptios. I had no problem with the filling spilling over or the cookies spreading. The dough was very easy to work with. I did not use the parchment paper, I used crisco and spread this on my cookie sheets, cookies came out perfect.

So easy to make and very tasty. I used the strawberry jam, but any jam will work. You could add a dash of orange juice to the cookie dough to add some extra flavor.
