These were very yummy cookies, and my first time making thumbprint cookies! I used preserves instead of jam and followed kimberly.anne.turner_12573561's advice in adding them halfway through baking. I used half wheat and half all-purpose flour, which turned out great! The cookies were sweet enough without being rolled in sugar, and I would suggest adding less salt.

I use this dough as a base for EVERY cookie I make, it's sheer perfection. Do yourself a favor, whip the butter, add the egg, THEN the sugar.. you'll get a perfect cookie EVERY time!!

There are so easy to make and family and friends look forward to their plate of Jam Thumbprint cookies. Anyone can make them and children love to press their thumbs to put the jam in the center.

People loved them, they were tasty, had to add LOTS more flour, and did not roll in sugar, they were sweet enough. That being said, I am about to make a batch...

These cookies are amazing. They are very easy to make and delicious. I received many compliments for these cookies. I did have to add extra flour and I used seedless raspberry jam. I did not roll them in extra sugar, but I did dust them in confectioners sugar after they were baked and cooled. Yummy!!

I made these cookies for the first time about a month ago, they were a big hit at my house. My husband thought they were the best cookie he had ever eaten. I am making them again for X-mas, although they won't last long.
