Okay, I wish I could put photgraphs on this page because my cookies turned out glorious! My 14 year old daughter loved them and we had a lovely experiece decorating them. It was easy dough to work with and I didn't have to change a thing. My cookie maker is SAWA brand that my mother handed down from who know how many decades worth of use. So even an old antique apparatus works with this recipe. Result .. tender and tasty.

I have been looking for a recipe to use with my cookie press and this is the best butter spritz cookie ever. It tastes even better than the ones I buy in the top NYC bakeries. They are so easy to make and melt in your mouth. The only thing I do differently is use all vanilla extract instead of the almond extract, just because I am a huge vanilla fan. To make them extra delicious, I take two and put raspberry jelly in the middle and dip half in chocolate. Amazing!

I just made these for my husband's office for St. Patrick's day. I colored them green and they really turned out soft and full of flavor! Thanks for the recipe.

I first tried the recipe for spritz cookies that came with my cookie press and it was awful. I looked up this recipe and tried it with great success. Yummy and pretty!

These are really great and easy spritz cookies! I advise making them a bit on the small size, as they do spread some and puff up.
