A sloppy joe recipe that makes you happy you had the foresight to double the recipe. I made these exactly to the recipe. Perfect as written! I served these tasty sliders for a Friday night Happy Hour at our house. The perfect match with other happy hour favorites. Unexpected and fun. I don't think any of us have had a sloppy joe since...? The trick is to let them simmer on "warm" an hour or longer so all the flavors have truly blended by the time you are spooning out a slider. We all know that though, right? I served with banana peppers slices, jalapeno slices, pickled okra, pickles. So looking forward to leftovers for lunch.

Found this Sloppy Joe recipe pretty good. Not as "tomato-saucey" as I had wanted(didn't have any tomato sauce on hand so thats why I went for this recipe I did find that the vinegar was a bit overpowering. I added an additional tablespoon of brown sugar and a couple of teaspoons of worcestershire sauce. That made a big difference. Quick and easy!

I've made this recipe several times and always get compliments. I do put the cumin in because it is not a flavor that my family likes. This is quick and easy and always delicious.

What a great quick fix for dinner. Last time I made sloppy joes was about 2 yrs ago. I made Manwich sloppy joe's No one in my family liked them . I made this recipe in order to give it one more shot and My family loved them.
I did tweak the recipe a little. I added some chili powder and put in some red and green peppers.

If you don't like this recipe, then you just don't like sloppy joes. I was surprised at how good they were. Did you try the recipe, Michael, or are you just offering up commentary?

These sloppy joes were fun and easy to make. No need to measure the spices, just thrown everything into the pot! I am going to try with different ground meats, like turkey. I also added hot sauce and a jalapeno pepper to spice it up!

Needed a quick something the other night for my hubby and some friends. Boy, is this just like I remember from schools days way back. A little sweet, but good. I did put a little shredded cheese on top. Served it on potato rolls, with chips. They disappeared fast! Might add chopped jalapenos next time.
