Excellent! I tweaked this to my liking by marinating the shrimp in lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, white wine, and a lot of black pepper. I also added dill, cilantro, and sauteed onions. I omitted the butter and used brown rice instead of white for a healthier dish. Otherwise, I followed the recipe, and my boyfriend and I loved it :-

Yummy & healthy! I used 10 small tomatoes instead of 4 large ones to enhance the flavor. I think 3 cups of rice might be a little much. I would suggest 2 1/2 (however I used a rice cooker and did the water by eye so don't quote me on the rice comment. Overall, this dish was so delicious! I suggest using the Costco prepared shrimp--its fresh and easy. All you need to do is pull of the tail and you are good to go! I will definitely make this again!

In answer to foodlover00, yes you absolutely can buy peeled & deveined shrimp! I stopped doing it myself years ago and what a time-saver! Any seafood store should have it or you can buy it in the freezer section of most grocery stores. I'm making this tonight!

~_~This was an amazing recipe!!!! It was easy to make and very tasty. I'm a beginner when it comes to cooking so I was afraid that I might overcook the rice. After washing my shrimp I sprinkled some "Old Bay Seafood Seasoning as well as some Cajun Seasoning" on them and let them sit in the refigerator until it was time to add them to the pan. I also added some beef sausage just to have some extra meat because I only used one bag of shrimp. Green peppers were added as well but I think that next time I will do without those and the scallops. Other than that I followed the recipe~_~

Excellent. Super easy to make with simple ingredients.
Saw the recipe today and decided to make it for dinner. Used more garlic (we like our garlic, used some 6 cloves. Used frozen large shrimps and added turkey kielbasa sausage (used half of the sausage and sliced into moon shaped. The water from the frozen shrimps pretty much replaced the water to add, which was perfect. Used McCormick Cajun seasoning (limited options. Didn't need a lot of salt and pepper at all but used 1/2 tsp more cajun seasoning for the added meat. Used brown rice which tends to be a bit drier than our regular jasmine white rice. The base from the shrimp and sausage was perfect to keep the brown rice moist. Also added 1 small red bellpepper, chopped. Very aromatic. My husband has been doing the Insanity workout and this definitely inspired him to finish tonight's workout! ;p We love it!

I thought this was a wonderful recipe, with a little change. Rather than tomatoes I used a red and yellow pepper and thought it was fantastic. I have made this a couple times and everyone who has had it loves it.

This is one of the easiest and most tastiest recipes you'll ever try. I loved it! Instead of parsley I put cilantro. It tastes very fresh and interesting. This will be one of our favorite recipes.

This is the first time I have made a recipe using shrimp, and I loved it! It is simple, full of flavor, and my husband had three helpings. Only question; can I buy shrimp that is peeled and deveined already? I spent 20 minutes doing that alone. Kind of annoying actually, but other than that, great!

Great taste. My rice was a little mushy. It didn't need the 1/4 cup water because I made it before hand. I added more shrimp but maybe too much. I'll try it again though
