    Loved this soup! The consistency was perfect and the tofu was really tasty. I used the five spice powder instead of the anise pod and I think it worked just fine. I might go a little lighter on the ginger next time, only because I'm not a huge ginger-lover, but it did add a very nice kick to the soup. Served it with a seeded sourdough baguette -- wonderful!
