Made this cake and thought I would share my changes. Everyone loved it. I didnt want to use fondant so I made a white chocolate ganache and colored it with yellow food coloring and it looked like melted cheese. Then I used sour apple flat licorice for the lettuce. I used 1 chocolate cake mix for the "Hamburger" using only half the batter in a 8 in pan. The rest I made cupcakes. I used 1 box yellow cake mix for the "bun" putting half the batter in the 8 in pan and the rest in a bowl. I used slivered almonds for the "sesame seeds". Sooo Good!

My daughter and I made this cake this weekend for my 10 year old nephews birthday. It looked AMAZING!!!! We even made french fries out of yellow fondant and and put them in a Mcdonald's fry container and leaned them against the cake for presentation!

This was a fun project that my 9 year old neice and I did together. Although it was time consuming the end result looked pretty close to the picture. We haven't tasted it yet but I'm sure it will be delicious! The only down side is it came out much bigger/taller then the picture and won't fit in my cake carrier so I'm wondering how I'm going to transport it to my mother's house for a party. :

I actually used double burger layers and yellow cake for the bun layers and fondant for lettuce and cheese. Took to a party and it was a huge hit. Tasted great and looked wonderful. Had a blast making it and sending pics to my friends.
