I love to cook new things, i knew my family loved this dish when they went to a restaurant and i decided to try it. I thought it would be more difficult but once past getting the pits out of the cherries it goes by so fast! quick and easy, and has an awesome dramatic effect that makes it fun to make and awesome to eat. I will definintely be making this again soon. :

I totally loved this. I thought the rum tasted great with the cherries.

I'm confused as to why they would use rum because traditionally it's made with brandy which is better tasting for this dessert.
Nice, simple recipe. Again, you should use brandy.

I was nervous to try this recipe since I had never flambeed anything before, but I gave it a shot and it turned out great! I had to double the recipe since I needed to serve 8 and that was probably a little too much for 1 pan but it tasted lovely and delicious. Don't be afraid to try - it was really accessible!

Rinse and remove stem. Use a plastic drinking straw to push through the cherry, and the seed will pop out. Yes, it's a bit messy, so use good kitchen towels either.
