I truly love this recipe. It is virtually fool-proof. I made it for the first time a few days ago. The flavor was perfect, yet not too sweet. You can taste all the butter, sugars, vanilla and the chocolate blending harmoniously. The texture was also very good; not cakey at all. I took half of the batch to work the following day and they didn't last 20 minutes. These cookies were just that good, and I work in a restaurant where we have very finicky employees. Several of my co-workers asked when was I preparing another batch. Needless to say, I will be using this recipe again.

Love this recipe. Nice and crunchy around the edges and soft and chewy in the middle. This will definitely remain in my recipe box for future use.

Per my family delicious! I have never used unsalted butter in cookies. It works great. This is the recipe I will use for Choc Chip cookies from now on. Ardy S--Freeport IA

Although these cookies were soft and delicious, they didn't turn out like the picture. Mine flattened out significantly, like pancake. Sill taste good though. I followed the recipe to a tee an Ben refrigerated the dough for 2+ hours. Not sure what happened.

I made this for the cast of my High School production as an incentive to show up on time to rehearsals, and we haven't had an attendance issue since! I added about a cup of homemade toffee pieces to the batter, and they became wonderfully interwoven with the dough and the chocolate. I added an extra 1/2 recipe to serve plenty of people, and the cookies turned out to be huge, even though I froze the dough in advance. Eight cookies nearly filled a standard sized baking sheet for a total of 24 delicious cookies of elephantine proportions (roughly 6" diameter!. Just the same, everyone ate at least 2, and I'll be making them again tomorrow! All in all, a wonderful recipe for chewy cookie lovers, and a great base chocolate chip cookie recipe.

AMAZING! This is the BEST Recipe for Chocolate Chip cookies I have ever made. Simple and the result is that they are ALWAYS soft and chewy. I think perhaps every time you make them they just seem to be even better then before. THANK YOU

If you like your cookies CHEWY, this is the PERFECT recipe. My family loves these, and so do all the other students in my son's 5th grade class. My oven tends to burn a little hot, so I had to turn it down to 350. But, that's my oven. LOVE this recipe.
