Great recipe and easy to make... I probably made with in 30 minutes with the help of course of my crafty bf. The food processor is your friend.... if you don't have one, buy one! It makes life so easy!
Instead of pita-less pockets I used Arnold's 100 calorie flat bread which provide more fiber and are less calories... so overall better for your heart, digestive system, and waistline! I personally prefer using the plain yogurt... the mild taste and coolness is a nice contrast from the spicy (not omg i need water right now hot and hot chicken and vegetable mixture.
this is a great introductory Indian food recipe... you could easily tell your family, friends, or significant other that it's not even Indian and they will like it. I am going to sneak this one on my almost 60 year old father.

Don't know what happened here, but the onions never browned - had to dump most of the oil out, the amount of water in the "paste" was too much - had to strain that, no way was the paste & onion mixture ever going to go slightly dry - more liquid out, chicken never browned-just got that pale color (which leads me to suspect that meat in the picture is NOT chicken, yet more liquid out after the chicken was cooked through - all that & the flavor still needs more adjusting.

I omitted the yogurt and used fresh raita instead but the flavor profile would have been similar. I also added some sriracha, for my personal tatse.
Great flavor, easy, a keeper!

Wow, this dish was so easy and delicious. I didn't have plain yogurt, so I used sour cream instead and it worked fine. It made my house smell wonderful.

We made this for dinner with friends. It tastes great & was sooo easy! We did up the spices to make it a little sassier, but it was a great step into the direction of Indian cooking for us. Our tip is to spice it to your own palate. Even the kids liked it!
