My husband is a picky eater and rarely comments with a new recipe I try. He loved this and asked me to be able to make it again. He doesn't like green peppers and didn't even notice them in the recipe... Loved it. also easy and pretty fast to make.

Very flavorful dish, and easy. I substituted the bacon for turkey bacon and really enjoyed the flavor. I also used diced chicken breast instead.

This is a great comfort food recipe. I was concerned when it finished because the sauce looked so thin and it seemed to be missing something, flavor-wise.I mixed the egg noodles into the paprikash casserole style. I was making it for an early family lunch and had to make-ahead. The next day, we reheated in the oven, and it was amazing. The flavors were all there and you could really taste the paprika. I feel this is a dish that needs to sit overnight to really bring out the flavor. I was cooking for a Louisiana family that wants everything spicy, and I didn't have Hungarian paprika, so I used regular. But this flavor profile lends itself well to adding Slap Yo Mama or whatever Cajun spice you prefer tableside to add a kick and an extra dimension.

This was VERY flavorful. The recipe didn't need anything, like most that I try.

Very tasty!! I used smoked paprika because we prefer it and added a bit more sour cream. I also used baby sweet peppers because the kids aren't fans of green pepper. All-in-all, a great easy meal for days when dinner needs to be quick.

Excellent! My husband is VERY picky, so trying new meals isn't always an option. He cleaned his plate and asked for seconds! Wonderful flavor and easy to make. This is a winner in my family!

I left out the bell pepper (not everyone in my household enjoys them, used half white and dark meat, and used half the paprika that the recipe calls for. It turned out amazing! Will definitely be keeping this recipe for years to come.

On the basis of previous reviews, upped the flour to 1/2 cup and had 4 really large skinless chicken breasts (lower fat. Since we are into spicier paprikash, added 1 tbsp of hot and one of regular paprika. Everything else done to recipe. Sauce thick and creamy with a great little bite.
Adjust to your tastes, great basic recipe.

Easy recipe. I slow cooked a whole chicken. When I got home from work, I deboned, and used that. Made the recipe really easy! Thanks for a quick weeknight meal!!
