This was the most yummy recipe ever. My hole family loved it, even my two boys ages 5 1/2 and 1 1/2. My oldest just kept saying "mmmmmm mom i just love this chicken, i want this everynight." I did change the amounts for the herbs, they wanted 1 tbls of both but i only put 1 tsp of both. I also figured i wouldnt need all thoughs eggs and bread crumbs so i cut thoughs in half an still had some leftovers. I also just bought 2 jars of Newmans sauce and it tasted great. I used fresh mozzarella cheese and i gratted fresh parmesan on top, it was the best dish iv ever made. Will make this dish atleast twice a month, or more.

I couldn't find whole tomatoes in puree so I used two 28oz cans of whole tomatoes in tomato juice and one 28oz can tomato sauce. I drained and chopped the whole tomatoes. Otherwise followed the recipe. The sauce is so good I think I'll make it next time for regular spaghetti rotation. Add some pasta to this recipe, make a salad, bake some garlic bread and you've got two great meals for a family of four.

It has been a long time since I made chicken parm. I rooted around the FoodNetwork site and found this recipe to help bring the memories back to the surface. Here is how I made it my own. First, I didn't fiddle with the marinara. I used Hunts Original spaghetti sauce. Another "wing-it" was throwing in Italian seasoning instead of the herb mixture it called for. After browning the chicken and dressing it up with the sauce and cheese, I felt that the oven was too hot. All ovens vary so it may have been mine. However, I lowered the temp to 350 and baked for the 30 minutes. Hey, it came out pretty good. Like other posters have mentioned, substitute for what you have or may not have. Make it your own and enjoy.

While my parents are remodeling their kitchen, I have taken on the task of making them some home-cooked meals (because they're running out of choices from the local pizza joint.
My first attempt was this - and yes, I even made the Quick Marinara Sauce to go with it! Before serving it to Mom & Dad, my honey and I were the guinea pigs...and I'm pleased to say that he's thrilled with the dish - as am I! Everything is absolutely delicious! I added some gemelli pasta to go with it - PERFECT! The marinara sauce has such a wonderful taste, as well - go with this recipe rather than buying it in a jar! FIVE STARS EASILY!!!
