We loved this! My husband suggested adding more peppers, maybe a red pepper? It seems like it would rock on a hoagie, too! I found it a bit spicy with hot Italian sausage, so I might do mild next time. Also had to you Anaheim peppers. I love that it was fast, easy and one pot!

I made this recipe, with all vegetarian substitutes. I also had to use Anaheim peppers instead of the frying peppers. My family loved it! The sauce is so flavorful that it compensates for the loss of flavor from using real meat. We ate it with pasta, and there wasn't one bite left over. This will be in the regular rotation for sure. For those interested- I used the Quorn cutlets for the chicken and the Lightlife Italian sausage product for the sausage.

Best tip in the reviews came form 4wadventures - Prep Everything before starting!! I defintely would not rate this as an "easy" recipe. There are a lot of time sensitive steps which I found a little overwhelming. Fortuantely it was worth it! I am hopeful that it will be easier the 2nd time around!

Couldn't find the Italian grilling peppers so I used Anaheim chili peppers instead, came out incredible. Strongly recommend prepping everything before starting instead of mad rushing the prep between steps to make it more stress free. Served it with a wedge salad topped with fresh bacon, mushrooms and Kens light Cesar dressing. Awesome!

Quick, easy, and VERY delicious! The whole family loved it. I'm not sure what Italian peppers are but I used green bell peppers. Awesome recipe!

Being myself, I doubled the meat and, as a result, had to cook it a bit longer at a higher heat level. Other than that I followed the recipe. Very tasty and my somewhat picky son (24 liked it a lot. This is going into rotation.

Very good dish! I don't know if I'd rate it "easy", as there are a lot of moving parts, but altogether it was very tasty. We served it over rice.

I couldn't find "Italian green frying peppers", though, so I had to make do with sweet peppers which I fortunately found.

I tried this recipe out on my boss and his wife. (risky, I know It was a hit! I added crushed fennel seed. I served Serian rice with it. (Serian rice is 1 C. orzo pasta browned in butter, then add 32 oz of chicken broth and 1 C of white rice, simmering covered for 20 min. then shut off heat and leave alone without stirring to soak up the rest of liquid. My peeps can't have enough of this dish!
