Delicious soup! It's easy to make and you can clean up while the soup simmers, so only a few dishes after!

Have to repost this as my review disappeared! I love, love, love this soup! It's a family favourite now, in fact I made homemade chicken broth today so I could make my soup tomorrow. I agree with another poster about needing to have the cilantro because I think it is vital to the recipe. I didn't add the cup of water that the recipe asks for because I thought it would dilute it. I just use my homemade broth and it's perfect!

I love this soup! I'm eating as I type. It was quick and easy and tastes like I simmered it all day. After reading the other reviews I used less cinnamon and it still tastes great. Perfect weeknight meal during the chilly months.

I thought this was a great, quick soup. Toasting the noodles is key & don't make this without cilantro, you don't want to miss that aroma! I didn't have carrot on hand so I used celery and it was just as tasty, plus, I don't usually like cinnamon but I added it anyway.. will probably cut back on it a little next time.

This wa really good soup! The cinnamon/cumin gave it a kind of Moroccan flair that was really good - could easily be altered a bit with some raisins and couscous to be a Moroccan soup I think.
Be sure to toast the pasta- it really adds depth. I'm going to try toasting the chickpeas with the pasta next time - those were not as good as soaking up flavor as they should have been so I think that will help. I also used fire roasted tomatoes which seem to compliment nicely.
I'm definately going to play with this recipe and make it my own. It's super easy and I think with a few tweaks I can get it to phenomenal status.

A delightful take on chicken noodle soup! I only made one small change: I swapped the salt and pepper for Tony Chachere's when seasoning the chicken for a little extra kick. Unlike other reviewers, I didn't find the cinnamon overwhelming, but that may have been due to the addition of the Tony C's. Next time, I'll simmer just at little longer and maybe add an extra cup of water or broth--I like my soups brothy.
Update: by the next day, the cinnamon had taken over! Still a great recipe, but I'll definitely be omitting the cinnamon next time.
