We LOVED this chili.. I did use Sriracha instead of hot sauce and red peppers vs green. DELICIOUS!

My husband hates everything kind of like Mikey in the Life Cereal commercials from the '60's. He took one bite and said "this is really good". The only thing I did differently was used only about a half a bottle of amber ale (Full Sail from Hood River, OR. I was thirsty....
I will make this again!

Good recipe for chili. I used cubed beef versus ground beef and cooked it in the crock pot. Browned meat in pan, drained off oil and added to crock pot. Mixed in all the other ingredients then let it all cook together for about 9 hours. As someone else mentioned, it does have a dark red/brown color versus a brighter red.

This was very easy to make but it was bland. I tried it out for a chili cook off and came in last.

Recipe has great flavor. Not a huge beef fan so reduced beef from 2 lbs. to 1.5 lbs. Was plenty spicy, even a bit grainy. I plan to reduce chili powder & increase tomato paste next time. Definitely needed to add extra beef broth. Bacon, green onion, cheese and sour cream really add a nice punch of flavor - don't leave them out. Delicious!

This recipe doesn't have enough tomatoes in it to be as red and colorful as in the picture so it looks rather brown and plain until the toppings are added but all the spices make it very flavorful. I'll defintely be making it again!

Great flavor! I fed several teenage boys this dish and they all loved it. Great dish for reheating the leftovers and still tastes good!
