I made this dish for my Girlfriend and her Family...This was my first time cooking Fish in the first place and usually my friends and family Bake their Salmon. This way was very short in time and preparation after slicing the whole Salmon into Fillet slices.
One thing i kept doing was lifting the fish out the pan and looking for that line in the middle of the fish lol.
i was modest with the Chilli rub but next time ill add more to give it a more crusted skin and also i grinded some lemon pepper seasoning on a few pieces and it was a great touch.

I made this dish tonight. I usually grill salmon, but it was pouring rain, so I decided to cook it on the stove. I cooked it in a Calphalon grill pan and added some ponzu sauce to marinate it in for about 15 minutes, then added some garlic powder to the chili powder to coat. I also added a small amount of parmesan bread crumbs. My family loved it! My husband said "no more grilling, this is better!"

Wonderful dish and easy to make! Goes great with Citrus Salsa. Be ready for some smoke when pan searing the salmon. The Chili powder in the oil definetly creates a big smoke screen! But without a doubt worth it when the smoke clears!!

This recipie seasons the fish very well. Use olive oil sparingly. Make sure that your salmon fillets are only 2-3 finger-widths. Otherwise, they will take longer to cook.

My husband hates fish, but loved this meal! Lots of flavor, not "fishy", and filling! I served it with the black bean salad and pita bread and we ate it up! Hubby asked "is this healthy too?" and I told him it was: he was amazed! Told me it tasted and looked restaurant fancy, wow! I never get compliments like this - trust me, make this!

I've made this numerous times. It's incredibly easy and quite tasty. I serve it with Paula Deen's black bean salsa (as a salad as a perfect compliment. Absolutely wonderful!

Almost no preparation, yet a showy, hearty taste. I skin the fish before I cook it, it's a personal thing, I just can't abide fish skin. Otherwise, I love it.
