My friend and I made this recipe together. It was a hit! Everyone heaped on the salsa verde and went back for seconds, and even thirds!!

I let the shrimp sit in the marinade for 15-20 min and added some canned black beans and sour cream to the tacos.

I really enjoyed this. My grocery store was out of tomatillos, so I used low acid orange tomatoes and the salsa still tasted fabulous. Served with spanish rice and black beans, this is a great entree.

Note to those who can't handle the heat. Remove the seeds from jalepenos or any peppers you use...this causes the heat! Also - brown big chunks of white onion (not in oilto bring a smooth smoky flavor. Overall this is a very tasty dish! Will definitely make it again.

In order to lower calorie count we substituted Romaine lettuce leaves for the tortias and added jalipenos and onions to the garnish and thay were very great.

The flavors of this dish combine perfectly. You will never need another taco recipe again, it would also work with sliced chicken breast. I think people used too large of an onion, I used a small onion and it came out perfect, if you only had a large onion I would cut it in half. Thanks for the recipe!

made the salsa before the shrimp. should have followed my intuition, that there would be an overwhemling onion flavor. that's all i could taste in the salsa, even after adding the other half of the avocado and a couple extra tomatillos. did not want to ruin the shrimp, so tossed the salsa and moved on.
