This will be this years holiday favorite that I will bring to all events. Super easy and wonderful. My only issue was that when I cut the bars, they didn't come out as nice as the picture. But they taste excellent!! I highly recommend these!!

These bars are a rich, chocolate dream! I am not a huge peppermint fan, but the candy canes totally work on these. It is perfect for Christmas. I try tons of recipes and usually need to tweak them here and there so that they come out the way they are supposed to. However, this recipe was really perfect. Ingredients and instructions were on the money. Great job FN. My husband wants to try a different variation. He suggested crushed amaretti cookies for the top in lieu of candy canes. I will try that next and add some almond extract to the batter. We'll see how that goes...

A previous reviewer wanted to know what chocolate wafer cookies are..I think they are the same as Nilla wafers or vanilla wafer cookies except they come in chocolate. That's what I always use anyway.

I think that this is the most wonderful cheescake recipe I have ever tried. I made it for my daughter and her co workers and they all loved it! It was hard to find the chocolate wafer cookies, I was about to give up and found them in the ice cream condiment section at Publix. I will be making this one again and again.

This had great flavor but was impossible to cut into nice squares after refrigerating overnight. The picture looked so nice but I had two problems when cutting: first the glaze and candy cane were difficult to cut through when cold; second, the layers had a tendency to separate. I had high hopes but was disappointed. I did like the taste however.

I made this for a few friends and it was very good. Very chocolately but they wanted that! It was also very easy. I would make it again for sure.

If you follow the recipe, these mini cheesecake bites will look exactly like the photo and taste better than they look!!

This was a really easy and nice treat for the holidays. It is really rich though - so no bigger than 2 x 2, although a 1 x 1 square would make for a great holiday party treat.
I couldn't find the chocolate wafers so I used Pepperridge Farms Chocolate Chessman cookies. Worked great.
Although I liked the peppermint candycane topping, my husband didn't care much for it. Next time, I'm going to use the Andes chopped mint chips as a topping. Same minty taste and still festive but not so "crunchy."
The reviewer's suggestion of heating the knife in hot water before cutting was very helpful. I didn't break the top crust if the knife was hot when I was cutting - it simply melted into a scoring line.
Thanks for a fun and different cookie recipe for the holidays!

If you can't find choc wafer, you could use this -
    1 box devil cake mix
    1 stick melted butter
    1 egg
Mix all 3 and pat it on the bottom of your baking pan. Make sure you grease your pan first.
