Absolutely delicious. Used chocolate graham crackers for crust. Didn't use candy canes but happened to have some peppermint chocolate so used that for the glaze with some dark chocolate. Threw in a little Bailey's too. No changes to the filling. When I remake I may use less of the glaze to change proportions.

It seems that everyone else enjoyed this but as the one who made it...I was very dissapointed. This was harder and more work and should have not been rated as an easy recipe. I would maybe try making it again but I really doubt it.

the recipe was very easy to follow and texture, taste were great. I think the only thing I would do is add some more cream cheese and a little less chocolate, it was almost like a dark choc mousse, and not "Cheesecakey" enough. but nonetheless a great dessert!

This is probably one of the richest desserts you will ever eat, but it is SO good! I put chocolate chips on top instead of peppermint candies. Everyone at work enjoyed it, and asked for the recipe.

I made this twice over the holidays and everyone raved about it. The first time, I made it with the crushed candy cane and would agree that the flavor wasn't a good mix with the chocolate. The second time I used toasted almonds on the top and thought it was much better. This is an easy recipe for a decadent desert. Make sure to use a hot knife and clean between slices.

I was really excited to try these because cheesecake and chocolate are my two favorite things. However, it didn't end up like chocolate cheescake, it came out looking like a brownie/ cookie that was way too rich.
Also, the recipe says to put the candy canes in a bag and roll over them to break them up. Since the candy canes are very hard as you break them they puncture the bag and make little holes which spill out tiny candy cane pieces and leave a big mess.

My sister and I made these on Christmas Eve for a party. They were a hit. One guest commented that they were one of the best desserts she has had in years. It helps if you are a chocolate lover or it could be a little rich. As suggested in one of the reviews, we used chocolate pie crusts after being unable to find the chocolate wafers. We only used butter in the crust, no coffee or sugar. We did improvise on the glaze. We only had unsweetened chocolate, so we added sugar and semi-sweet morsels to the unsweetened chocolate. Even with a few changes, this dish is a winner! The cheesecake filling is divine. We had zero problem cutting.

I didn't use the pan liner, coffee, candy cane or corn syrup and I used chocolate filled Oreo's that I crushed in the blender for the crust and these things went fast at the party I took them to. The recipe was easy to follow and it tastes amazing. I've had tons of requests for the recipe.
HIGHLY recommended.

I'm so disappointed in this recipe. It looked so good, and just turned into a time consuming mess.
First, the heating time for the chocolate is WAAAY off. I heated my chocolate in the microwave in a tupperware bowl (safe for microwave use. Instead of the suggested 75% power, I only used 50%. Instead of the 2 minute suggestion, I started with 1:30. Close to 1:30, I noticed smoke pouring from my microwave. I opened it to find that the melted chocolate has melted a hole in my dish! That was a fine mess to clean up, not to mention the stench of burned chocolate and melted plastic. My microwave is no powerhouse, and it's pretty accurate. So I don't even want to know what 75% power for 2 minutes would have done. For my 2nd try, I used a bowl over a pan of water on the stove. Much better.
All went well until the glaze. I brought the filling out of the oven as instructed - when the sides pulled away from the pan and the middle was still wobbly. When the sour cream (yes, it was at room temperature was mixed with the melted chocolate, it instantly started to solidify, before I could even spread it out. To make matters worse, since the middle of the cake was still wobbly, the glaze sank in the middle like a lead balloon. It looks like an absolute mess, not even the candy canes can cover that up.
I can't say how they taste, but I'll be trying one at home before I dare to give them to my family. I'm sad and disappointed that I wasted over an hour on a busy Christmas Eve morning and now have the mess to clean up for it. They might taste fine, but the instructions in the recipe should be tweaked.
