I'm an experienced cook and I found this recipe to be a huge disappointment. Cookies were flat and tasteless in spite of using extra vanilla. A total waste of my ingredients and time!

The cookies rock! Made a batch and brought it to work. My co-workers were fighting up to the last cookie. Will definitely make more!

well not sure how they will come out yet, but i completely forgot the oil as i was mixing the flour. Was the dough extra gooey?! or did i do something wrong? :(

If you don't have whole wheat pastry flour, 1 and 1/2 cups of white flour and a 1/2 cup of whole wheat flour works well. Cookies will spread out less and have better texture if you refrigerate the dough for an hour or so before baking.

I made these tonight and they were so so good. I didn't have the wheat flour so I used 2 cups all purpose flour and they still came out soft and chewy. I love this recipe and will make them again!!!

These also make the perfect oatmeal cookies! Just add some cinnamon, honey, and oats-leave out the chocolate chips and dried fruit. They come out so chewy and delicious I thought I was dreaming! This is a wonderful chocolate chip and oatmeal cookie recipe!!!
