This is a delicious straight-forward easy-does-it recipe for wonderfully delicious chocolate-covered strawberries. To make this special recipe into a real one-of-a-kind treat ask your doctor for a medium bore syringe (actually most any syringe will do. After all your berries are beautifully dipped, fill the clean, sterile syringe with Grand Marnier or Cognac then gently inject the chocolate dipped berries in the remaining small red or green part by the stem, inject each berry with nno more than one scant teaspoon of the liquor. Refill the syringe as necessary. Be careful not to overfill the berries.

Sooo yummy and easy to make!!! I read some of the reviews below before making and decided that I was going to just melt the chocolate in the microwave instead of on the stove top - VERY easy clean up doing it this way. I used dark chocolate morsels and watched them very closing and kept stirring them between the cooking time. I used a tad of vegetable oil to my dark chocolate in the middle of cooking it to give the dark chocolate coating a nice shine. I also melted the white chocolate in a small ziploc baggie like another reviewer said and then cut the tip off slightly and drizzled that on top and it was also an easy cleanup afterwards and looked amazing - just throw away the bag. Thanks for this GREAT recipe....I was very surprised how fast and easy it was!!! :

This was a great people pleaser at the 60th Anniversary party I made them for in the summer. I am making another batch tonight for a Christmas party! Easy and delicious and GLUTEN FREE! I used Girardelli semi-sweet chocolate chips and added a tablespoon of unsalted butter to both the dark and white chocolate. It worked better to squeeze the white chocolate from a baggie with the corner cut off instead of the fork for the drizzle effect. These are beautiful, tasty, and really healthy compared to so many other decadent desserts! A real winner!

If you insert a toothpick into the stem part of the strawberry before dipping it and then poke it into a block of styrofoam to cool and harden you won't have the smooshed looking bottom on the strawberry and they will turn out much nicer looking. Hope I explained that well enough... I find a block of craft styrofoam used for making fake flower arrangements works best.

This is my most favorite dessert but you always need to make sure the strawberry is dry. Or else it would seize up and the chocolate will not stick!

I made these for Valentines day - used half semi-sweet and half milk chocolate, turned out very good!
Suggestions: 1 I highly recommend scooping the white chocolate into a zip lock bag - will come out very nicely! A fork will not produce the same results.
2 Once the strawberries are on the parchment paper, leave them in the fridge for about 30 min or so, otherwise when you try and remove them shortly after half the chocolate will stay on the paper

Fantastic!!! Really phenomenal recipe! Used Vahlrona chocolate and organic juicy strawberries. Skipped the white chocolate. Microwaved choc at 50% power for 1 minute then 1 minute. INCREDIBLE! Best ever chocolate-covered strawberries I've ever had, and I have them every chance I get!!!

This recipe really should not be considered intermediate. Putting the chocolate into the microwave is not necessary. Just watch your chocolate at all times and make sure no water escapes inside the bowl. Pay especially close attention to your white chocolate! It could dry out! When in doubt, just put in on your double boiller for a few seconds, remove it, stir and repeat until it is melted.
For a glossy finish to your coating, add a touch of vegetable oil to the melted chocolate and stir.
