This recipe really should not be considered intermediate. Putting the chocolate into the microwave is not necessary. Just watch your chocolate at all times and make sure no water escapes inside the bowl. Pay especially close attention to your white chocolate! It could dry out! When in doubt, just put in on your double boiller for a few seconds, remove it, stir and repeat until it is melted.
For a glossy finish to your coating, add a touch of vegetable oil to the melted chocolate and stir.

I made these for a dinner party of 8 including me, the womenfolk especially loved them! The other guy and I were left to pick the crumbs lol. I made it with a hand-whipped cream infused w/liqueur and a little bit of vanilla that gave it an extra great taste. I really love the crunch the chocolate has over the strawberry when refrigerated, too. I made most of them as recommended and a few white chocolate with regular chocolate drizzle to change it up, much success. I blogged about it and got some really good photos on my blog that's listed in my about me if interested further.

I made this for Valentines day. They are so easy to make and delicious. I used the microwave method to melt the chocolate. Make sure the microwave is on half power. So much better than a pan of water on the stove and less washing up.
I like them best left out of the fridge. The chocolate is softer. The white chocolate does fall in clumps but i used this as an effect when i drizzled.
