I have to agree with a few others. The cookie selections are to gourmet. Most Americans are not going to bake these. Guess I will hit my moms recipe for the annual cookie swap. Or find last years 12 days of cookies. Sorry Foodnetwork.

I thought these sounded interesting so I thought I'd make them but I think something is missing from the ingredients. The mixture was dry and crumbly. The only wet ingredients are two egg yokes and a stick of butter. With all the dry ingredients, it just didn't come together. I used a cookie scoop to put the mixture into the mini muffin tray but even after cooking, they looked exactly the same. I thought maybe they need more time but they never cooked down into cookie shape or even muffin shape. Please, tell me you have better luck. What went wrong?

Unlike most of the other reviewers, I think the "Around the World" cookie selection is interesting. As of yet, I have not started my Christmas baking, but do plan on adding a few of this years selections to my old standards. How can you complain before testing the receips?

Even though these don't fit the mold (pardon the pun of "traditional" Christmas cookies, they look delicious and somewhat healthy (Hey, the wheat germ has to count for *something*, right?

Personally, I *love* the fact that you are featuring unusual cookie recipes from other countries instead of the same old sugar/gingerbread/peppermint-types of cookies that we see year after year. I mean, most of us already have these kinds of recipes in our collections, don't we? So I encourage everyone to expand their culinary horizons just a little bit and try something out of the ordinary for a change. Who knows? They just might become your family's favorite! :

I haven't tried it, but it sounds somewhat good - unlike most of the ones this year.

I eagerly await each new cookie recipe, however, this year I too - like other readers, am so disappointed in the choices! Last years were wonderful, what happened?
