This is the best recipe for cinnamon buns/rolls I have used. Yes it does take time but it is worth it. I have just made my 2nd batch this week and plan to make these often for an easy quick early morning on-the-go breakfast. Used a cream cheese glaze instead of the one provided. This dough is very verstile and look forward to using it to make other pastries.

It was between this recipe and Alton Browns... I ended up going with this one because I didnt have any instant dry yeast. The end results were wonderful, although I went with the cream cheese glaze for fear that this one would be too sweet for my husbands palate. Very time consuming, but will certainly try again!

While very time consuming, these cinnamon rolls are DELICIOUS! My daughter and I make them every year on her last day of school. We wake up the next morning, bake, and enjoy. I have also served them at a few bruches I've hosted. They are such a treat! The only reason I didn't give this recepie 5 stars is because for us it has been a 2 day process.

It was definitely worth the time and energy to prepare these! I put the dough together on Christmas Eve and took the rolls to my mom's to bake for brunch. They were a huge hit! We all really enjoyed how the icing had a hint of cinnamon. They turned out beautiful. (And the few left over were quite tasty on Boxing Day!!

Sorry, I haven't tried these yet.

I just wanted to state that advertising in a recipe review is NOT cool. That's what I think.

It was a time consuming process, but you definitely get something different out of it than you would from a tube. I only made two changes-- used brown sugar in the filling instead of granulated and I left the lemon out of the icing because I forgot to buy them. The dough is not very sweet, if you're into that. I baked half and froze half for another day, hopefully they hold up well.
