I think it was delicious.... as for the diabetics and people looking for "healthy food"... what the heck are you doing looking at recipies for french toast...DUH! Of course it's not healthy.

I agree with several others that this is nothing especially tasty and is NOT healthy, as they advertised. I also believe that the Food Network people NEVER read the reviews or they'd correct some mistakes that show up or change the category or even ask that particular chef/cook to change something - but they never do. So we're on our own to figure things out and thank heavens we DO read the reviews and often have more sense than the chefs.

This was my first attempt at any kind of Frech toast, so my first 4 were very soggy. I began to get the hang of it after a second batch. These were awesome though. I love how the burnt/carmelized cinnamon-sugar makes sort of a gooey/crispy coating. Yum!

I just started browsing the 'Healthy Eating' section and noticed that while they advertise that these recipes are 'healthy', there is NO nutritional info given. This recipe for French Toast does not seem necessarily healthy! I am also a type 1 diabetic so even if I can trust the recipes to be healthy, I still need carbohydrate info at least! A little disappointed with this section......

Maybe if you used a thick whole grain bread and a little less sugar.

This was a quick and easy French Toast recipe, but nothing out of the ordinary. I liked the idea of sprinkling a cinnamon and sugar mixture over the top. Would make again.
