Cheese Cakes Are One of the Best Desserts.I have had,"Clunkers".This recipe helps me to finally prepare a Great Dessert for Perfect Endings.I do change out 1 Ingredient~On Top? Marscapone Italian Cream Cheese. Less "tangyiness" a preference of Deliciousness.I adore Lemon and is a great counterpoint flavour, even w/Chocolate.

It was great, just measure and use appropriate size pans, i didn't have the right one and ended up making 2 and improvising a crust out of some cookies my kids had! but turned out great, the cream cheese topping is a bit odd, but tasted good, and I would do less lemon zest, too lemony for me, but still yummy!

Cheesecake itself is wonderful. When I was making the topping I noticed that it just did not look riht. Then I read some reviews and noticed that I think it is a misprint. Fortunately I did not put it on the cheesecake. A little tweak to fix the topping. Use 16 oz of sour cream, then the 3/4 cup sugar and 1tbl vanilla. You can use a "little bit" less sour cream or at s little bit more sugar if fpyou like, but I do not recommend using the topping in this receipe.

N.Y. Style Cheesecake is amazing. I first learned how to make it in a Boces class in Valhalla, N.Y.. It was much like this one. It was a very rich cake that usually fed me for a while. I even bought recently a cheesecake pan that brought back so many memories of that class. This recipe just like the classic is a winner, recipe.

This cheesecake was amazing. The cheesecake itself was perfect and the topping added just the right amount of sweetness to balance out the zest in the cheesecake.I loved it and will make it again.

I agree that while the main part of the cheesecake was delicious, the topping left something to be desired. Mine was brown, bubbly and all-around ugly. It didn't taste bad, but the look was unappealing. I definitely think something was missing; maybe more sour cream is needed to make this right. I'll definitely try it again, but I think I'll play around with the topping.
