I did not use anything on the bottom of the pan, and mine lifted out perfectly after cutting them into squares.
My crust is just butter, flour and confectionery sugar. I use a hand pastry blender to get the crust crumbly and then press it into the pan. NO GREASING or foil.
2 cups granulated white sugar goes into the filling with 6 tbs lemon juice, 4 eggs and 2 tbs of flour.
My recipe is quite different, and nobody can eat less than 2, if not more. They sneak back and grab another.
I always end up "tweaking" the recipes on this Network. But, they are fine to get the general idea.

OH WOW!! These are great! the cookie crust is crispy. Brown sugar adds a great flavor. Be sure to pulse or continually mix in the processor and the mixture will come together like magic. I didn't use any foil. Non stick pan and sprayed it. The cookies practically fell out. Also cook just till they are set. It might seem like they need more cooking but don't. When cool they firm up. When you cut them the filling doesn't ooze. Wonderful lemon flavor.

OH MY GOSH!! THese are some of the best lemon bars I have ever had! ever! I was making them but then my food processer broke! so I had to hand mix everything until it got doughy....It was really good! SO if you dont have a food processer just be patient and use yourself! they ended up great in the end and were the best ones i have ever had!
