This looks good but does anyone know how to make an original Cobb Salad? It involves putting each ingredient through a meat grinder (except maybe the avocado - just finely chopped and putting them into distinct rows on a plate for presentation. Then it is mixed together at the table and served with a bleu cheese dressing. It is out of this world. I had one in 1972 at the Brown Derby in Hollywood and have not seen one since.

This is a good recipe, but it iws not even close to the original from the Brown Derby in Hollywood,California which is closed now, but the Villa in the Alley in Hollywood stills serves the original. The only problem is the dressing which makes the whole thing come together is a world secret now and mostly forever. If you have the recipe for the dressing please share with me.

I love this salad! I used mixed baby geens to make mine rather than just the one kind and it was wonderful. Any shredded lettuce would work fine if the baby greens are too bitter for you.
