My father used to make this recipe when we were kids.  He used @1/4 C of Pet evaporated milk instead of the Sour Cream.  He never really measured precisely, just eyeballed it saying it all depended on the size of the head of cabbage.  There was a couple of taste tests as we worked together on our favorite summer BBQ  side dish.  This recipe tastes just as I remember it.  The celery seeds are key to its flavor.  Be sure to make it the night before so it's properly chilled  and the cabbage "cries" to make that creamy consistency.  Salt and pepper to taste.  item not reviewed by moderator and published
I tried this recipe and it was great.  I added a little more sugar because I like my slaw on the sweet side.  Not too much, less than an additional pinch.  Also I used the packaged cabbage and carrots because I was pressed for time.  It was very good but next time I will grate my own.  Can't wait for the next time! item not reviewed by moderator and published
