The soup has a very rich flavor but we would have liked it to have a little stronger tomato taste. I will make it again - prep time was a little longer/

This soup was very easy to make and I like it much better without the heavy cream....the soup was thick enough and sooo tasty that it didn't need the cream.

This was the best tomato soup I've ever had. I made it with grilled cheese and it was the perfect meal for a cold, rainy, winter day. What I loved most about it is that it wasn't sugar soup like store bought canned tomato soup is. It was mellow, creamy, and really comforting soup! This will be my tomato soup recipe I use for the rest of my life! Thanks!!!!

Not difficult to make. Be careful not to leave the herbs in too long...it can get very potent if you leave them in longer than the 20 minutes.

Very tasty but needs to be pureed more and needs more cream.(we used whole milk...it's just not the same.

Delicious! I did think it needed a little more tomato flavor so I cut back the chicken stock to 4 cups and added a 28oz can of San Marzano crushed tomatoes--perfect. This will be my new tomato soup recipe!

I have been making a variety of tomato soups for about 5 years now, just looking for the best. I love this recipe. I saw it on TV and had to try.. I have only made it vegetarian and it has turned out every time. I used whole milk and some corn starch for thickening. I have even used whole wheat (gotta sneak in the healthy stuff with the little ones. I just don't think you can go wrong.
