Crispy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Total Time:

26 cookies

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.

Whisk the flour, salt, and baking soda in a medium bowl.

In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar with a hand held mixer until light and fluffy, about 4 to 5 minutes. Beat in the egg and then the vanilla. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, to make a soft dough. Stir in the chocolate chips.

Spoon a heaping tablespoon of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 3-inches apart, (a standard pan can accommodate about 6 cookies). Bake the cookies until brown around the edges, about 12 to 14 minutes. Transfer to a rack to cool. Repeat with the remaining dough.

    dead easy and soooo nice
cooks unevenly, bottoms burns while tops is way undercooked, and doesn't taste that good
Not quite the taste we were looking for -- needs brown suger.
I was hoping these were going to be thin chocolate crisps...instead the bottoms were crisp but the rest of the cookie was soft and fluffy. I'm not sure why. I followed the recipe exactly.
The recipe claims to make 26 cookies but I only got 7 out of it. These cookies were good but not at all crispy. Instead of being thin and crispy they were fat and flaky.
My very picky fiance couldn't get enough of these!
Truly crispy through and through. flakey heaven.
It taste great. I used 1 cup of chopped nuts and 1/4 cup of chocolate chips. It turned out to be delicious.
    will use this again
Very good cookies, and easy to make recipe!
These are easy and delicious cookies to make.
these cookies are the best and only take 20 minutes to prepare so i would advise you to eat them up and only cook
This is an average cookie recipe, but not at all what the name says. I was expecting a thin, crisp cookie, but these were small and fluffy. The cookie is good, but the name is misleading... I was disappointed.
