How can I substitute breasts for drumsticks? No one in my house likes dark meat.

These were very good and "crunchy", the way I like them. As for people who can not have mayo there is a veginase mayo availabe at Whole Foods as I have a nephew who can not have regular mayo. Also check in the natural foods section of your grocerey store to see if they have something simalar. Also you could dip the drumsticks in buttermilk again if you would like. As for the part for Cornflakes in place of the Panko Crumbs, they will give a nice crunchy coating as well as I have used them for other recipes.

I went online www.dogpile.com and typed in the question. There is a list (I use this often of what you can substitute something for. Since sometimes I may not have an item or ingredient, this is very handy!

Also, I am making these tonight and was wondering about how well the corn flakes turned out vs. Panko? I try to cook low sodium and sugar.

I personally don't care for dark meat, but these recipe had so many good ingredients that would blend well that I have already marinated the legs overnight. It sounds absolutely great. I'll let you know. But have faith in it very much.

BTW, for mayo I see a lot of people subbing yogurt. Good Luck (I don't eat yogurt or I would help tell you how to make it work with this.

I'm rating it since I know these flavors and how they blend.

Since two members of my household need gluten free I substituted crushed corn flakes for the panko.

Its was easy to make. I've never used the panko breadcrumbs before.. I will use them from now on.. I usually dont like the skin but i ate everything but the bone... and my husband loved them.,..... The spices were perfect just enough lemon it wasnt over powering... i will definitely cook this dish again.
