The cookies turned out great according to the recipe! I will use this recipe again.
Since I made them over the holidays, in one batch I substituted chocolate chips for candy cane pieces. Yum!

Mine turned out to be really good. The whole family loved them and I plan to make them again. I usually don't like all chocolate cookies but the white chocolate helps to break up some of the rich chocolate flavor and it really has a nice balance to it. I suggest making these as the kids will love them. :

AMAZING! It was easy to make. I coudnt find the Dutch chocolate, so instead I mixed 6T unsweet cocoa powder with 1/4 t baking soda. I found this online. Everything is easily hand mixed. And I had a great time making these with my kids, they helped to roll the balls and then rolled into the powdered sugar. It was fun and they tasted like a brownie cookie. I gave away to my neighbors and my husband work and they all loved it! This is a keeper recipe!

Very easy to make and they are so delicious. I used peppermint pieces and they were fantastic! They crackled beautifully!

They looked beautiful, just like the picture as long as you had enough icing sugar to coat them, but overall I didn't love the tast. I was abit concerned when I started making these, as it did not sound like a traditional cookie base. I ended up blending the ingredients with an electric blender, because 'whisking' was just not possible. The dough was grainy, and I had to squeeze these into balls to get them to keep there form. I found them pretty dry, but pretty. Folks at them, but I don't think I will be making tme again.

I made these today after reading the reviews. I don't know what I did, but they were horrible. Is the dough suppose to be grainy? they were hard to roll into balls and when baked they just kept their original shape.

These are so, so yummy. After reading some comments, instead of adding white chocolate I used semi-sweet. I have a couple of serious chocoholics in this house. The recipe was perfect -- no surprises -- the crackles crackled and looked beautiful with the powdered sugar. Right now I'm making another batch since all of them were eaten last night. A real keeper. I'll make these again and again -- trying the white chocolate, maybe milk chocolate. Thank you!

I used chocolate chips instead of white chocolate and they were great. Also added a teaspoon of vanilla. Very rich and brownie like. It only makes about 20 cookies though, so you will probably need to make a double batch!
