The bunny cake looked amazing! Very easy to make and had lots of compliments. I do recommend making the cake the day before, cooling the layers, then freezing or refrigerating them overnight. The cake was very easy to work with after this and frosting was very easy. The bunny was so cute that it was hard for me to cut it up and serve people. I served it with green coconut and jelly beans for decoration.

    Great cake! Easy.

Just a note...I was reading the reviews and saw that someone (in 2012 recommended that you put the cake in the frig so it's nice and cool when you frost it. Not a good idea to frost a cold cake. Just like a cold glass tends to sweat when it greets the warm air of your home, so will your cake. Though it might be OK, all your hard work will usually begin a gradual slide right off the cake. :-( Not fun.

Made this for Easter today and it was super yummy! Anyone can make this and you will get many compliments on this cute cake! Instead of biscotti, I bought a big Rice Krispie bar for a dollar, cut it in half, and shaped out each bunny ear. Much easier in my opinion. The frosting recipe provided was also great, not too sugary and good consistency. Only thing was that I had about a half cup leftover :/

We made this today with a gluten free cake mix and non-dairy spread instead of butter to make this okay for the Paleo diet. I was easy to do and came out so cute, it really was the hit of the day. We recommend it highly!

Made this for Easter. Didn't have time for homemade cake or frosting, but Betty Crocker did the trick. Used the Whipped Frosting as it spread easiest. Everyone loved it!

I had so much fun making this cake! It does take a while-make sure you have lots of time to make it. I read the reviews after making it and was surprised to find that people had no or little extra frosting. I had about a cup of frosting left over! As for letting it cool before frosting it-you should always do that.
Overall a great cake. I'm definitely making this every year from now on!

I love this cake...my son especially. It was a big hit. I used carrot cake and cream cheese frosting. I covered the biscotti with frosting and coconut. Tips: let the cake cool before you frost and make cream frosting stiffer by adding more sugar less butter.

I made this adorable cake when my own children were young! It works with a cake mix but it easier to frost and keep together with a simple white or yellow homemade cake. It's not as if you're not already making a mess! Another idea for ears is to just cut pink construction paper ears and secure to toothpicks. I also did the coconut grass with green food coloring and put little jelly bean eggs in sets of three all around it. Neither of my kids like coconut. The other ear ideas are also cute! I don't remember making legs on mine. I think we used three halves to make a fatter bunny body with no legs. Mine also did not have the cute cheeks this one has. I think I am going to make one for my Preschool Children's Worship for Easter Sunday! Thanks for this reminder of how to do it. I wanted to make one last year but couldn't find it anywhere! I will take the advice to make a little more frosting, too!

This cake was so fun to make! It tasted DELICIOUS! i am going to make this every year now. my cake turned out just like the picture. It was so so cute. I also died some coconut green and put it around the bunny so it looks like grass. And i added just a pile of jelly beans next to the right paw for decoration purposes.
