I've been making this flan for potlucks and family gatherings for the last two christmases. It's always been a hit! It's very easy to make and always turns out great!
P.S. The sugar and two tablespoons of water that you boil in the beginning are the caramel you pour into the cake pan.

As good as it was easy! I only had 3 cups eggnog so I added 1 cup heavy cream which made for a nice mellow eggnog flavor to the flan. I think the 2/3 cup of caramel was too much. 1/3 was plenty since most of it ran up my arm flipping it (boy was that hot. I think the recipe said to wait to flip but I'm not big on waiting in the dessert department. This recipe is quite versitle; coconut, rum, ,,,,

Delicious!!!!!!! And it couldn't get easier. I did mine in a 9 inch round pan, and total bake time was exactly 2 hours.

Is 2 hours the correct cooking time? Seems like a lot at 325.
