Delicious! I used ground turkey instead of veal. I was a little overzealous with the food processor and pretty much pureed the vegetables instead of chopping them. It was still delicious though! I am making the stuffed peppers tonight with the leftover ragu. Can't wait to taste them!

I am giving this 5 starts because I also made the ragu stuffed peppers 2 days later. I followed the recipe 100% and husband and kids all loved it. I used fresh whole wheat fettuccine too. I agree that you could switch the turkey to sausage, although I am not sure how good the sausage would taste in the stuffed peppers, it might be too greasy. It would be worth a try. But, with 2 small children the turkey was great and healthy. We will definitely make again.

I made this tonight for my family using ground turkey instead of veal. I used whole milk and 1 cup of water as the recipe called for, and the consistency was perfect. We all loved it (even my two picky children. This one is a keeper!

I used ground turkey and would suggest Italian sausage to add more flavor. Like many cooks, we improvise and rather than a cup of whole milk I used 1/2 cup skim and 1/2 cup cream. Reduce the cup of water to either 1/2 of 3/4 and because a full cup didn't seem to cook down as quickly. I agree with the previous review, chop your own veggies, food processor wasn't needed.

I changed it up a bit. I did mild italian sausage just because that is what I had an hand, and i'm glad that i did because without it I feel like it would have been rather boring. Also why would you use a food processor to chop vegetables? Just sounds like more work to me. I used half and half cream because that is all i had and the sauce never thickened... But it was delicious
